Welcome to the Curb Vulture Podcast, a podcast for vintage resellers of home decor who want to know the ins-and-outs of reselling vintage furniture and tchotchkes. I am your host, Elaine Mingus, founder of Curb Vulture and we are located in the Austin, Texas area and mainly focus on furnishing from 1950-1990 (though you might see some other eras in there from time to time). If you are interested, you can check out my website or Instagram at CurbVulture.com.
Today we are interviewing STAMPWORTHYGOODS.
Stampworthy’s journey into vintage reseller started with her extensive worldwide travels and landed her in a small town just outside of Austin that exploded with growth during the pandemic and is quickly becoming the epicenter of the most amazing dining, drink, culture and local artisan experience without all the insanity of city life.
We are going to talk about Allie’s shift into vintage reseller, her work with Clay Imports designing gorgeous tiled dining tables and tiled mini tables, and the difference between a showroom and a storefront. We also will touch on some events and workshops she offers, as well as opportunities to get business consultation to help their vintage reselling get to the next level.
And stay for the very end, when we let you in on some exciting life changes for Allie and why that’s important for other resellers!
